Toledo, Ohio September 27– 28, 2007

The Second Chance Program and the University of Toledo’s Social Work Department are hosting the 3rd National Conference on Prostitution, Sex Work, and the Commercial Sex Industry. Focusing on issues within the commercial sex industry, the conference is designed for researchers, practitioners, and staff from the social service, criminal justice, and health care communities. The conference has two goals:

  • To bring together researchers and practitioners in an effort to lay the groundwork for future collaborative research, advocacy, and program development.
  • To educate social service, health care, and criminal justice professionals about the needs and risks of individuals involved in the commercial sex industry.

Currently, the conference is calling for abstracts. Additional information about the conference will be posted at a later date.

Cost $100 and $15 for university students who can provide a copy of their student ID along with their registration
