NATIONAL PROSTITUTION CONFERENCE
PROSTITUTION, SEX WORK, AND THE COMMERCIAL SEX INDUSTRY
CALL FOR PAPERS: PROSTITUTION CONFERENCE SEPTEMBER 27 & SEPTEMBER 28, 2007
The Department of Social Work at the University of Toledo in collaboration with the Second Chance Program invites submissions of abstracts for the 4th Annual Prostitution, Sex Work, and the Commercial Sex Industry Conference. Researchers, educators, practitioners, managers, administrators, and students are encouraged to submit proposals. The conference will be held at the University of Toledo, Toledo, Ohio on Thursday, September 27th and Friday, September 28th, 2007.
This conference will focus on a wide variety of sex work-related topics
including: implications of current federal and state policies, advocacy and social action efforts, funding, content in social work education, contemporary prostitution problems, human trafficking/sex trafficking, and administration of programs.
Our 4th Annual Conference promises to be an interesting for those involved in sex work research, practice, or policy. This conference provides an arena to learn about practice, policy and research from around the country, to develop viable strategies for building consensus in an effort to solve current social problems, and to collaborate on
policy advocacy, practice strategies, and cutting edge research.
Submission of Proposals
Applicants must submit abstracts via email. Applicants should complete the proposal submission guidelines and email the WORD document as an attachment to [email protected]
Complete proposals should include:
* A 300-500 word or less abstract including the objectives to be
met in the presentation
* The session title (not to exceed 15 words)
* Contact information for all presenters (names, affiliations,
addresses, telephone numbers, fax, and email addresses)
* Audio-Visual requirements
* Conference Organizers are accepting proposals NOW. The deadline
for submitting proposals is July, 15, 2007.
Proposals that are not complete will not be considered
